MDT proposes the construction of a new scale site
at the Port of Raymond - Sheridan County

Port of Raymond - The Montana Department of Transportation would like to notify the public and seek comments on a proposal to
construct a new type "A" scale site in Sheridan County, Port of Raymond, MT.  The project is located on the west side of MT Highway 16,
north of Plentywood, just south of the Canadian border between mileposts 14.7 and 14.9.

The project will include entrance and exit approaches to the scale site, a concrete pad for the portable scale, upgraded signing and
lighting, new paint striping, and a fall protection system for inspecting tanker trucks.

No new right of way will be required.

The project work will begin the summer of 2008 and be completed by September 2008.
