Patrick Cybulski
A Celebration of Life Mass for Patrick Cybulski was held on Thursday, May 22, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph
Catholic Church with Father Marcel Vogel officiating; vigil rites were at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the
church. Interment was in Plentywood Cemetery. Casketbearers were Tim Bedwell, Bobby and Charlie
Chandler, Jason De Shaw, Travis Hanel and Eric Riggs; ushers were J.B. Chandler, Vince Cybulski,
and Brandon DeShaw. All of Patrick's family and friends were regarded as Honorary Bearers.
Patrick James Cybulski was born to Steve and Barb Cybulski on July 30, 1983 in Plentywood
Montana. He grew up in Plentywood and graduated from Plentywood High School in 2001. Patrick
attended several colleges and universities, most recently the University of Mary in Bismarck, North
Dakota.
Patrick was a very passionate man. He found great joy in golfing, hunting, fishing, the arts, and being
with his family and friends. Patrick found great peace on the golf course, occasionally interrupted with
a wicked hook or slice. He was a heavy hitter from the tee box, and often a miracle maker on the
green. He loved hunting and fishing with his family and friends.

His specialty was duck hunting, and he displayed the skill of a "duck whisperer" when calling in ducks. Patrick was a very animated
person, excelling in high school Speech and Drama, winning the Humorous Solo state championship, and performing at several
theaters including the Medora Musical. Patrick loved the time he spent with his family and friends. Patrick was a very efficient, hard
worker who enjoyed agriculture, working with farm equipment and animals. Working with Patrick sometimes involved innovative ways to
"skin the cat." Always the competitor, Patrick relished "smearing" relatives at the card table. Patrick found the hidden humor in life, and
his hearty laugh could always be heard above the noise of the family gatherings. His nieces and nephew held a special place in his
heart. He took a special liking to his niece and goddaughter, Sophia Hanel, who he proclaimed as "the most beautiful girl in the world."
Patrick's greatest gift, however, was his voice. A divine talent, Patrick's voice touched many lives through his performances at weddings,
funerals, concerts, and Catholic Masses. In high school, he received all superior ratings at district and state music festival for not just
vocal performances, but also trombone and ensemble pieces. Patrick was ultimately selected to perform at the Portland Memorial
Coliseum for the All Northwest Music Festival, the pinnacle of high school music achievements. His exceptional voice lent itself to all
genres of music. One of the most cherished of Patrick's performances was an operatic duet "The Prayer" with his sister Katie. However,
he was just as happy dazzling the crowd with "Hey Jude" on the karaoke stage. Patrick was most at peace when he was singing and
this offered everyone that knew him a glimpse of his heart. He was closest to God through his gift of singing; and forever if we close our
eyes, we will be able to hear him.
Patrick was preceded in death by his grandmother Marianne Cybulski and his grandfather Dan DeShaw. His parents, Steve and Barb
Cybulski of Plentywood; brother Dr. Travis Hanel and his wife Alesha and their children Matthew, Ariana, and Sophia of Hallock,
Minnesota; sisters Katie of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Abigail of Plentywood survive him. His grandfather Jim Cybulski of Plentywood
and his grandmother Barb Walla of Sidney, as well as numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins also survive him.
Patrick was loved by many and will be greatly missed for his enormous heart, infectious laugh, and his beautiful voice.
Friends may call at Fulkerson's in Plentywood.

Patrick will always be remembered fondly by us. He had many tallents that will be remembered for a long time, but more than that he had
ability to touch peoples hearts and this is the legacy that will live on for a long time. We can picture him now singing and performing in
heaven and continuing to create smiles and touching the hearts of all he meets up there. Please know you are all in our prayers. God
Bless
