Pat Lodahl Memorial services for Pat Lodahl will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, August 11. Pastor Ron Martin- Dent will officiate at the service at Plentywood Lutheran Church; private interment of cremated remains in Plentywood Cemetery will follow the service. Pat, 69, died unexpectedly of a sudden cardiac event at her Plentywood home early Thursday, August 7. Patricia Mae was born June 23, 1939 in Williston, North Dakota; one of five children of Lloyd and Mary (Dunn) Geelan. When she was 4 years old the family moved to Plentywood, where Pat grew up and attended school. On November 24, 1956 she married LeRoy Lodahl at the Nathanael Church at Dagmar. They lived in Great Falls for a short time, then in California and in Michigan while Lee was in military service. After his discharge, they returned home to northeast Montana. They were in the Dagmar community about a year before moving to Plentywood, where they have lived since. A devoted, caring, loving, wife, mother and grandmother, Pat made most of the clothes for her family, and was never happier than when she was baking favorite goodies for her family – her children and grandkids still received “care packages” from Pat, each filled with their own, favorite treats.
Widely known as a superb seamstress, Pat made literally hundreds of school kit bags for Lutheran World Relief, made huge numbers of quilt tops, at least two complete quilts for each of her kids and grandchildren (Zach’s dog even got one of Pat’s quilts!) and expected to finish her project of hand-embroidered dishtowels for them, with the last one in process at her death. Everybody had their own special Christmas stocking ... and there were always spares, just in case! Over the years, she also did many special projects and sewing repair for anyone who needed her special gift with thread, needle, and machine. Pat had successfully completed several years’ chemotherapy and radiation treatments for cancer, and was re-gaining lost weight at her unexpected death: she had lost weight, but never her positive outlook and cheerful attitude, and was deeply grateful for the concern and support from so many people that she loved. Pat was a devoted member of Plentywood Lutheran Church, where she and Lee served as “assistant custodians” to their daughter, Bonnie; and was very active in the church’s ladies aid and outreach activities.
Pat is survived by her husband, Lee, and by two daughters: Bonnie Kanning and her husband Spencer, of Plentywood; and Terrie Iverson and her husband Roland, of Billings. She is also survived by five grandchildren: Dr. Nicholas Kanning, of Omaha, Nebraska; Zachary Kanning and his fiancé, Stephanie Thompson, students at MSU Bozeman; and Danielle, Bryce, and Brandon Iverson, of Billings. Preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Marilyn Merwin and Billie Jo Geelan, Pat is also survived by a brother, Tom Geelan and his wife Linda, of Havre, Montana and Connie Nelson and her husband, Arnie, of Westby. She is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces who were very near and dear to her heart.
Fulkerson Funeral Home of Plentywood has charge of arrangements.

To the Lodahl Family: I remember your Mom always with a smile and even though she didn't agree with neighborhood antics - maybe swimming pool related?? Now I have children, I can relate. I'm sorry for your loss of a Great Mom. .................................................................................................................................................................................
