Eleanor Hollatz

A Memorial service for Eleanor Hollatz will be held at 10:00 A.M. Dec 21, 2007 at Trinity Lutheran Church
in Plentywood with Pastor Jay Reinke officiating. Interment of cremated remains will be in Outlook
Cemetery. Urn bearer wiill be Justin Burns; Paul Beck will serve as Usher. Eleanor 79, died Monday
Dec. 10, 2007 at the Sheridan Memorial Nursing home.

Eleanor was born Aug. 3, 1928 to Walt and Ethel Nichols in Reserve Montana. They lived in Dooley until
1929 then moved to Gladmar Saskatchewan,  where she attended school until 1946. She moved back
to Plentywood in 1946 and she worked in cafes and for Leonard Morgan from 1947 to 1948.  In the fall of
1948 she married Norman Hollatz; they lived on a farm northwest of Outlook, where they had 3 children.
Eleanor started cooking at the Outlook School in 1958, and worked there until 1979. She also worked at
the Sheridan Memorial Hospital and Bud's Drive- In,  and at the Pioneer Manor in the summer months.
In 1979 she moved to Billings Montana where she cooked for 13 years at Billings Senior High School.
She moved back to Plentywood in March of 1998.  She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary and Trinity
Lutheran church in Plentywood. She enjoyed Square Dancing, and was an avid card player, and also
enjoyed listening to old time music, making crafts and loved visiting with relatives and friends.

Eleanor is survived by 3 children:  Marilyn Burns of Billings and her two children: Justin (and his daughter Brittney), and Brook (and her 3 boys
Jacob, Haden & Skyler);  Shirley Ruud and her husband Gary of Flaxville (and her 2 children, Wendy Dahl and husband Rusty at Whitetail,  and
their kids [Eleanor’s great-great grandchildren], Jace, Quaid, andKassidy) and Jennifer Fugere and her husband Levi of Wilsall Montana  (and her
girls  [Eleanor’s great-great grandchildren] Danielle, Olivia, Horizon, and Jazzmin). Eleanor is also survived by one son,  Alvin Hollatz, of
Plentywood.  Also surviving is a sister, Elsie Johnson, of Wenatchee Washington and her children Jean, Jason, Janelle and special friend
Marlene; and a brother, Don Nichols and his wife Donna of Mandan, North Dakota and their kids Blaine and Casey.  Eleanor is preceded in death
by her husband,  Norman,  and her parents Walt & Ethel,  and 3 brothers Stanley, Lawrence & Lester,  and a sister,  Adeline.

Fulkerson Funeral Home of Plentywood has charge of arrangements.

Eleanor is and was a good friend of our mom,(Mary Kohler), we truly heard a lot about their fun and both loved playing
cards.  Our sympathy to her family.
