November 12: War Dance, Bozeman, MT
"The war stole everything except their music" The Award-Winning Documentary, War Dance, will be
showing as a part of the MSU Leadership Institute’s Film Series, on Wednesday at 7pm in the Strand
Union Building Procrastinator Theatre. The Award-Winning film takes place in Northern Uganda,
where they have been at war with a rebel force, the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA), for twenty years.
The country’s children have been the greatest victims of the conflict. Now, in the refugee camps, the
children are competing to win the National Music Competition. Over 20,000 schools will compete, but
only one will go home the champion, and no one expects it to be Patongo – as schools in refugee
